Basic

Shiftbay ™ online reverse auction technology is managed on site through a secure web-based, hosted service. This means that no software needs to be installed at your location and we will manage the technical support. The Shiftbay ™ online reserve auction technology has six basic features which will revolutionize the temporary staffing industry by more closely connecting labor supply and labor demand in a dynamic way that allows healthcare facilities to hire the most qualified people quickly and efficiently with the lowest possible price.

Dynamic Bidding vs. Self Scheduling

Shiftbay ™ online reverse auction technology is configured to support dynamic bidding or self-scheduling. With dynamic bidding, openings are assigned a maximum pay rate and a bidding time period and then assigned a Reverse Auction bid format. Contracted individuals or staffing agencies can bid on the open shift anytime during the bidding period. Once bidding closes, the lowest bidder is available to the staffing manager who assigns the shift.

With self-scheduling, openings are posted with a Fixed bid where users sign up for a fixed per hour rate. Qualified bidders request to fill the position on a first-come-first-serve basis. The staffing manager assigns the shift. A second approach to self-scheduling is a Best bid where a user submits a one-time lowest bid. This approach is best for short auctions.
